This object is built from found and repurposed materials — scraps of wood, plaster, old bike parts — combined with bisque-fired clay for its ability to absorb water.

It functions as a potter’s wheel and was part of a larger setup I used to make a series of ceramic cups during an off-site workshop at the Heuvel Mall. 

It’s both a tool and a reflection of making with what’s available.
