D4. Exhaust The Benches

User research / Material Research / Illustration
Tutors: Jesse Howard, Henriette Waal & Jon Stam. In collaboration with Clemens Driessen and The Stroom Den Haag @ Design Academy Eindhoven, December 2022



Field research done in The Hague (December 2021)  and Eindhoven (February 2022).


By taking the public bench as the initial point of study, the research focused on the interaction between water and humans in cities, and how a basic element such as the bench can impact this relationship.


The output was a collection of 4 benches assemblied from existing bench elements, they propose a different human/nature interaction in existing public spaces.
